Hantu Tetek

Hantu Tetek is a nocturnal spirit-class predator recorded across coastal villages and riverine paths. Field notes describe it as largely incorporeal: a shifting, dim silhouette that bends light like damp fabric. Smell: a sour, tang of curd and river clay that gathers in stale pockets of air. Sound: a soft, repetitive rustle—like cloth brushing reed—underlain occasionally by a thin, sing-song keening meant to mimic human calling. Temperature: an abrupt, localized cold that frosts breath and causes dew to bead on leaves where it passes. Encounters are brief, unnerving, and often leave the observer with a lingering impression of being watched from very near.
