Odin Lore & Origins

Odin is a Deity often encountered in the field notes as a lone, roving figure of winter and wisdom. Smell: tar, iron and peat smoke lingering like an old campfire. Sound: the rasp of Raven wings, a distant war-horn, and the soft cadence of recited verse carried on the wind. Temperature: a sharp northern chill that pricks the skin, as if knowledge itself cools the air. He moves like a scholar-warrior — deliberate, testing, always listening — leaving rune-carved marks on bark and stone and the impression of two watchful birds overhead.
