Baobhan Sith

Baobhan Sith is a predatory fae figure reported from remote Highland glens. Field notes describe a womanlike silhouette in green or dark silk, impossibly pale, with a stillness that reads as unnatural — close study often reveals a too-wide smile and the flash of fang. Smell: the air bites with the metallic tang of iron and the damp perfume of heather and peat. Sound: distant, breezy laughter and the faint, off‑time cadence of high-heeled steps or the tinkling of tiny bells that seem to come from nowhere. Temperature: the immediate atmosphere cools sharply, breath clouding even on a mild night and dew riming grass in a small circle where she has stood.
