El Lobizón

El Lobizón is a terrestrial werecreature of the Río de la Plata—muscular, low to the ground and built for pursuit. In moonlit nights it moves with the measured gait of a large predator; its coat gleams damply, its breath warm against cool air. Smell: the damp, animal scent of wet fur and turned earth with a faint metallic tang like rain on old iron. Sound: a long, hollow howl that hangs over cane fields, punctuated by heavy, slapping paw-steps and an occasional, unsettling human-sounding whimper. Temperature: radiates heat—its exhalations fog a cool night and the air near its body feels humid and pressingly warm.
